The winds will go NNW, then NNE later. Just very small ones all along the open beaches on high tide early, then try Sunshine, Yaroomba and Kawana later. Maroochy has always represented excellent diving and snorkelling for beginners or masters, but with the recent scuttling of the ex HMAS Brisbane, the region has evolved into one of Australia’s top diving destinations.

The wreck dive site, just north of Mooloolaba, is exceeding all expectations. The magnificent 133-metre long guided missile destroyer has settled perfectly upright on the sand bed in around 27 metres of water.
