Natural wonder abounds
Maroochy is full of surprises but perhaps none more so than its incredible diversity of flora and fauna. Of course, most people are quick to point out the world-famous beaches on offer, but the immense gamut of natural wonder astounds locals and visitors alike.

Just kilometres from the vibrancy of chic cafes and stylish shopping, you’ll discover nature bursting with colour, intricate textures and evocative smells.
Imagine strolling amongst luxuriant rainforest, tall eucalypt trees, waterfalls, deep gorges and boulder-strewn creeks... that sums up Maroochy’s hinterland. The region is largely made up of the Conondale National Park and Kenilworth State Forest - an area famed for its bushwalking, bird watching, camping, mountain biking and four-wheel driving.

Several walking tracks allow you to explore and then cool down in a pristine creek
or swimming hole.

Permits for mountain biking and four-wheel driving are available for Kenilworth and Mapleton State Forests allowing visitors to truly experience a piece of wilderness only an hour away from Maroochydore.
