The winds are fresh S early but are are predicted to go very strong SSE later. Try the beachies in the S protected corners early on high tide, Dickys-Currumindi, Alex, Coolum, A Bay, Noosa groynes. From humble beginnings in 2000 the Coolum Kite Festival has grown significantly into an icon on the Sunshine Coast events calendar. The Festival has placed Maroochy in the spotlight, showcasing national and international kite flyers, live and roving entertainment, interactive workshops, creative installations and aerial displays. This event now attracts participants from around the globe.
